Random Thoughts

February 1st, 2010

Soooo. I’ve finally posted on this site, just for the record here.

I’m in the Netherlands right now. *glances briefly out window at gray cloudy sky and dreary buildings* I’ve been up since 6 AM…. Sooooo  tired… 6 AM Netherlands time, that is.

I feel like I could fall asleep in my chair.

In other news…

Writing is impossible. Actually, I’m not referring to this blog. That’s easy. I just type my regular thoughts as if I were chatting with someone. Even though I am not chatting with someone. Unless of course you consider ‘nobody’ a person. In which case…..

……I wonder if there is a myers-briggs personality type for ‘insane person that enjoys going off on weird topics that don’t even make sense*

Okay, back to what I was previously saying. Writing FICTION is frustrating. I can daydream up random scenes easily. It’s fitting them into a book format that’s hard.

“See? I told you it would work.”

“You call that working?”

“Well, I managed to turn it on at least.”

“Just because it’s on does not mean it’s working.

“It looks like it’s working.”

“No, it doesn’t. It’s supposed to make coffee. That is sludge. Not coffee.”

“Oh, like you would be any better at it. You can’t boil a pan of water, much less make a reasonable cup of coffee.”

“If that is what you mean by ‘reasonable’, no I don’t think I could. In fact, I don’t think anyone could make such a horrible-looking cup of ‘reasonable’ coffee.”

I must be tired. See my frazzled attempts at dialogue?

Those are just random bits I made up on the spot just now…. Not very good…

The nice thing is, probably no one or at least very few people are going to read this.

I’ve decided I want to be a programmer. Well, first a Web Programmer. Once I have that down I might try Computer Programming.

I should probably get around to messing with the template and such on this website.

And finishing the layout on my own website. Other website. Main website. It’s an awesome layout - M. made the graphics for it. But I’m still working on putting together the XHTML. I want to make sure everything is set up so that it shows up the same no matter the size of the screen. Which is difficult, because I only have one screen size to test it on. I got the banner image to work okay but now I need to finish positioning the content and the navigation. I can’t decide whether to use absolute positioning or to just use margins or… I want to figure out the best way that will work with ALL screen sizes.

I need to figure out a point for this website. Other then just  typing whatever I feel like typing.

Off I go.
